2015 Impact Factor for Cochrane Reviews

Thomson has released the 2015 Journal Citation Report (JCR), and the Impact Factor for the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR) is 6.103. This is an increase on the 2014 Impact Factor, which was 6.035.

The release of the JCR on the 13th June did not include the CDSR due to incomplete indexing of content by Thomson. Wiley have worked with Thomson in the time since the JCR was released to resolve the indexing problem. CDSR will be included in the JCR in September when the corrected version of the JCR is published by Thomson. We have been assured by Thomson that the CDSR 2015 Impact Factor will be published soon on the following page http://admin-apps.webofknowledge.com/JCR/static_html/notices/notices.htm.

Some highlights of the 2015 Impact Factor include:

  • The CDSR is ranked 12 of the 152 journals in the Medicine, General & Internal category.
  • The 5-Year Impact Factor is 6.665, an increase on the 2014 5-Year Impact Factor of 6.536.
  • The CDSR received 11,523 cites in the 2015 Impact Factor period, compared with 11,932 for the 2014 Impact Factor calculation.

As in previous years, we will compile the main Impact Factor report and the Cochrane Review Group reports based on the Impact Factor data along with additional impact data for all Cochrane Reviews. The reports are scheduled to be circulated in early  August, 2016.
