Next Cochrane Mid-Year Meeting of the Cochrane Collaboration will be held from March 31 to April 1, 2014 in Panama. This year the mid-year meeting of The Cochrane Collaboration will also coincide with the celebration of the Annual Meeting of the Iberoamerican Cochrane Network scheduled on April 1, 2014. The Cochrane Collaboration’s Mid-Year Meeting (so called because it falls midway between annual Colloquia) is held in March or April each year. Organised on a smaller scale than the annual Colloquia, the Mid-Year Meeting provides an opportunity for face-to-face meetings of the Collaboration’s Steering Group, Centre Directors, Entity Executives and other groups responsible for helping to formulate and implement Cochrane policy. Mid-Year Meetings are organised and hosted by Cochrane Centres in turn, and are planned in conjunction with a symposium focusing on one or more EBM topics of interest to the local healthcare community. This provides an opportunity for interacting and sharing information between Cochrane contributors and regional healthcare constituencies around the world. The 2014 Mid-Year Meeting, organised this year by Fundación Instituto Centroamericano de Salud Internacional (IHCAI) de San José (Costa Rica) will take place in Panama from March 31 to April 1.
This year the Mid-Year Meeting of The Cochrane Collaboration will also coincide with the celebration of the Annual Meeting of the Iberoamerican Cochrane Network scheduled on April 1, 2014.
Also, on 2 and 3 April 2014 the schedule includes a Cochrane symposium for the Cochrane reviewers established in Panama and Central American area.
